The Great Fall Compromise

Turtleneck: Target via Goodwill (Similar Here); Jeans: Gap via Goodwill (Similar Here and Here); Belt: Banana Republic, old (Similar Here); Shoes: Carlos by Carlos Santana; Hat: Forever 21; Ring: House of Harlow Watch: Tory Burch Lips:  Hiraki Cosmetics in Merlot Nails: Essie – Penny Talk

I love the crisp temperatures of fall and of course the cozy sweaters and fun booties, but Tennessee hangs in the 80’s until I’ve already had a month’s worth of PSLs. I come back to this outfit again and again during the gray area between summer and fall.

I love the juxtaposition of pairing a conservative piece such as a turtleneck with the laid-back vibe of destroyed boyfriend jeans and a touch of fringe. PSA: Turtlenecks are going to have a huge moment this fall, and I’m perfectly okay with that! This outfit is the perfect compromise between my conservative and laid-back style and the transitioning seasons of summer to fall.

Nice outfit! The pop of color in the hat really set this look off for me! And I can tell you took your time with this! Keep up the great work!

Thank you! The hat also has a dual purpose of covering up my bad hair day! 🙂

I can’t wait to see what is next. I am a devoted GW shopper. My wedding dress was a vintage find on a lonely rack with old prom dresses at my local GW. Love this!
